Banita Sandhu is a British actress, also known for her work in Indian films. She was born on 22 June 1998 to British Indian parents in Caerleon, United Kingdom. Banita started acting at the age of 11, as a child artist in the English TV series called ‘Painting Humanity’.
She started her career with TV ad commercials like Vodafone and Doublemint. Writer Juhi Chaturvedi noticed Banita during the Doublemint ad and decided to cast her alongside Varun Dhawan in the film October (2018). This film was also her first Bollywood debut. This was followed by the American TV series ‘Pandora’, and an English language film ‘Eternal Beauty’ in the year 2019. The same year, she appeared in a Tamil remake of the hit film ‘Arjun Reddy’, which was titled ‘Adithya Varma’.
She will next be seen in a Bollywood film ‘Sardar Udham Singh’ alongside Vicky Kaushal and also in an English Language film ‘Teresa & Kavita’, which is a biopic of Mother Teresa, alongside Jacqueline Fritschi-Cornaz and Deepti Naval.
