Swara Bhaskar is an Indian film actress known for her work in Raanjhanaa, Nil Battey Sannata, Veere Di Wedding, etc. She was born on 9 April 1988 in Delhi to a Hindu family.
She made her debut with a supporting role in 2009 with the film “Madholal Keep Walking’’, a box office flop. Next, She appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Guzaarish” (2010) in a supporting role. The same year, she played a role in the low-budget film “The Untitled Kartik Krishnan Project”. After three unsuccessful films, she played the role of the bride-to-be in the film “Tanu Weds Manu” (2011), which was a super-hit film. In 2013, she was featured in the film “Listen…Amaya” in the lead role, the film received rave reviews from the audience and established her as an actress to watch out for. The same year she appeared in the film “Aurangzeb”.
This was followed by the film “Raanjhanaa” (2013), “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” (2015), and “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” (2015). But the film which catapulted her to stardom was Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s drama film “Nil Battey Sannata” (2016). Later on, she appeared in the film “Anaarkali of Aarah” (2017) and in “Veere Di Wedding” (2018). Her upcoming film is “sheer Qorma”.
